Actor R. Madhavan who is known for his versatility in the different characters that he portrays in his films says that he worked in films only because he was paid to romance the leading co-actresses in the films he did.
Says R. Madhavan, “I have been paid to romance beautiful heroines. It was like my honeymoon period. I learned a lot in this industry and while learning too, I wasn’t punished. Because while learning, a lot of actors’ careers have tend to come to an end. Hence, I am very grateful that such a thing didn’t happen to me.”
Madhavan who has appeared in more than a dozen romantic films including ‘Minnale’, ‘Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein’ and more recently ‘Tanu Weds Manu’ and ‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns’ has a tremendous female fan following.
The 3 Idiot actor further adds, “Most of the people give up a lot of things in their personal life to make it big in Bollywood, but I was thankfully not one of them. I didn’t fall in that trap. I did everything that I wanted to along with my acting.”
Madhavan is currently a part of an upcoming big budget Hindi film production venture and a Telugu film, both of which are yet to be released and has also starred in Amazon Studios’ upcoming Indian web series ‘Breathe’ whose first season premieres in January 2018.
