The controversy surrounding Hrithik Roshan and Kangana Ranaut has become a huge issue over the time. Currently, it is being discussed on every media forum in the country, all Thanks to the sheer complexity of the matter. Currently, everyone from fans to the media to Bollywood industry has some opinions about this whole situation. Now both sides are talking through various medium. Lots of open letters and statements are issued by both parties involved every now and then. Hrithik Roshan is back in the mix once again with a new letter.

In the meantime, let us give you a little background of the whole issue. It all started way back in 2014 when Kangana referred to Hrithik as “silly ex”. From there, it became an ugly and nasty battle between the two in public. It even became a legal battle after some time. It was pretty silent for few months until Kangana decided to break her silence during the promotional activity of her latest film Simran. From there on, it takes a whole new turn. Kangana made lots of allegations to Hrithik Roshan, who still stay silent until last week.

Hrithik Roshan decided to break his silence in almost four years. First, the actor wrote an open letter and shared on his Twitter handle explaining his side of stories. Then he started giving interviews to multiple leading news channels, where he spoke at length telling his side of the story to the public. In his first ever interview with Arnab Goswami, the actor poured his heart out while speaking about his battle with Kangana Ranaut. His statements and interview went viral in no time. The actor started getting support from his fans as well as the film industry.

Several Bollywood celebs voiced their opinion supporting the actor openly. We saw lots of counter attacks by Kangana’s team like her sister Rangoli and her lawyer. Kangana’s sister and her lawyer have regarded all the statements of Hrithik “False”.

After all this, Hrithik Roshan is once again back with another statement, which he shared on Facebook. In his latest letter, Kaabil actor has asked media that he would like to stop talking about this whole controversy now. At the same time, he made sure that the issue is not going to be closed.

Through his latest statement, Hrithik Roshan has asked his fans not to support him. He has asked them not to take sides. The actor said, “I am extremely thankful to people who have supported me in this painfully unfortunate episode. But my request to all friends and observers would be to stop taking sides in this issue.”

Check out his complete statement:

I am writing this in response to the several interview requests that I am getting from various media houses. I have given two. Due to the media dynamics of our times there is a justified pressure on me to give more.

Print. Digital. Various other languages. Platforms that will give me much much wider reach.

I would apologise to those who have made these well meaning requests and would humbly say that I don’t wish to speak on this issue. I have had to give out my side of truth under some very compelling circumstances.

In the interest of civility and human dignity we should not make a spectacle of this issue. Media is an integral part of our civil society and they would know that continued discourse on this issue is gaining toxic dimensions.

I am no one to suggest what media should cover or not but if this under investigation case is factually covered through the developments of police investigation and courts, that would be a breather for a lot of us.

I am extremely thankful to people who have supported me in this painfully unfortunate episode. But my request to all friends and observers would be to stop taking sides in this issue. This is an unfortunate issue and not a contest of sorts. Before this is dangerously hijacked into a man vs woman, insider vs outsider, privileged vs non privileged issue we must stop. Please don’t support me. Don’t take sides.

I am by no means seeking to close this issue. The only thing I am suggesting is to let the investigations be the only spokesperson in this issue henceforth.
