Here’s why Kangana Ranaut’s name appeared on Manikarnika’s clapboard as director – details inside

Kangana Ranaut is to be seen as the Jhansi Ki Rani in her upcoming movie Manikarnika! Although the actress is done with her pat of shooting for the movie, there is a buzz saying the actress is back on the sets! And guess what?? She is no longer playing the role she is intended to! Kangana Ranaut is back on the set as a director and the people wonder how did this happen??

Though the film is being directed by the filmmaker Krish Jagarlamudi, a picture of the movie’s clapper board with Kangana Ranaut’s name written under director is breaking the internet, making all wonder if the 31-year-old actress has worn the director’s hat for her upcoming film.

While people are speculating Kangana Ranaut to be the director of the movie Manikarnika and the Rumours of a rift between Kangana and Krish were also doing the round, it was thought of that Kangana Ranaut truly has replaced the director Krish!

Here comes the truth behind the scene! A statement has been issues as the clarification statement by the movie’s team.The statement read, “Krish Jagarlamudi is the director of #Manikarnika and will remain so. #KanganaRanaut has stepped in to shoot just the patchwork on his behalf while he fulfills his commitments in another movie, to make sure that #Manikarnika releases on 25th Jan 2019. The clapboard is merely to avoid onset confusion.”

Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi is slated to release on January 25, 2019. Apart from this, the actress will also be seen in Prakash Kovelamudi’s film Mental Hai Kya. Produced by Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Motion Pictures, the movie also stars Rajkummar Rao, Amyra Dastur and Jimmy Sheirgill in lead roles.
