Harshvardhan Kapoor : 10 Things About The Charming Actor To Know Him Better!

Harshvardhan Kapoor, son of Anil Kapoor, is all set for his debut in the Bollywood industry with his film Mirzya starring opposite Saiyami Kher, which is directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra. The trailer of the film as well as the soundtrack has been appreciated widely and from the looks of it, Harshvardhan seems to be one fine actor that the B-Town will be proud to have. The young actor is immensely talented and we can say so by looking at the amount of passion, focus and intensity he has put into this film. Well, before the film releases lets take a look at some of the interesting facts about the handsome actor : 1. On How He Got His First Role : Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra had approached Harshvardhan for Mirzya 3 years ago but the actor had initially said no to the offer. He wanted to pursue his career as a film-maker and even assisted Anurag Kashyap on Bombay Velvet. But if we look at it now, we can say good things take time. And finally, we have Harshvardhan in and as Mirzya! Seems Mehra could foresee that the young actor would consider acting at some point of his life. 2. On How He Prepped Up For Mirzya : Harsh, as called by his family and friends, learnt acting in South Africa from an acting coach, Tina Bertina, who taught him how to hold oneself firm without breaking down your concentration. He learnt how to completely get into the characters that he will portray on the silver screen. After watching the trailer, we think Harsh has absolutely nailed it! 3. The Perfectionist Avatar : For the character he is playing in Mirzya, he had to learn horse riding, archery and polo. Harsh went to US for the training and learnt all about horses by living, sleeping, eating and working with them on a ranch in Seattle. And now, the actor claims to know more about horses than he knows about human beings. The charming newbie seems really passionate about his work. 4. Harsh Favours A Solitary Life : "I am in the habit of disappearing for a few weeks and my family is used to that," he said. Well, being a loner sometimes is really helpful and the intensity of his work and the intellectual side of Harsh is a proof that being a loner does wonders to oneself. 5. Diplomacy Isn't His Policy : Harsh prefers being honest even if that means he will get into trouble. He thinks that no matter how harsh the truth is, he will always abide by his policy. Seems the gentleman has his own set of values which he will keep intact no matter what! Now that's a sign of a gem of a person! Talking about his lack of diplomacy, Harsh said, "I can’t be nice to anyone just to get in that person’s good books." 6. He Is A Doting Brother : The actor is very close to his sisters, Rhea and Sonam Kapoor and even has their names tattooed on his back. He is closer to Rhea and talking about his equation with both of them, Harsh said, "She is a home bird like me. Sonam is more outgoing. She spends a lot of time travelling. Rhea and I would rather be curled up at home with a book." 7. His Favourite Films Of His Dad, Anil Kapoor : When asked about his favourite films of his father, Harsh named, "Parinda, My Wife’s Murder, Dil Dhadakne Do, Slumdog Millionaire." He confessed that he wasn't close to his father as a child. "Dad was busy working. We siblings were completely brought up by Mom." But gradually, as Harsh grew up, their passion for films and love for cinema brought them closer to each other. He added, "But I don’t consult Dad about the roles that I do. I’ve chosen my first two films on my own and I’m about to sign a third." 8. About His Second Film : Vikaramditya Motwane had first offered Bhavesh Joshi to Harsh few years ago but as the suave actor felt he was too young and inexperienced for the character, he said no for the film. Thereafter Motwane approached Imran Khan and Sidharth Malhotra as well but finally came back to Harshvardhan. “I guess every role has its own destiny,” said the immensely talented actor. 9. His Favourite Actors : When asked about his favourite actors, he named, "Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra, Cate Blanchett, Brit Marling, Jennifer Lawrence, Felicity Jones, Ryan Gosling, Brad Pitt, Jared Leto." Shows Harsh is completely in love with cinema! 10. His Wishlist Of Directors : The sagacious actor opened up about his wishlist of directors he wants to work with. He said, "I don’t have a wishlist because I’ve already worked with the directors Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra and Vikramaditya Motwane who were on my wishlist. But yes , I’d like to work with Rakeysh again." Mirzya, is all set to hit the silver screens on 7th October, and we can't wait to witness the intense performances by the two newbies, Harshvardhan Kapoor and Saiyami Kher.
