Bollywood’s popular film trade expert Taran Adarsh confirmed that the first-day collection of the film is 10.27 crores. This is a good boost for the movies in days to come. With this collection, it is clear that the movie will cross 35 crores in the first weekend. That also means that it will enter in the coveted club of 100 crores.
The last two movies of Shraddha Kapoor didn’t fare well, Rock On 2 and Ok Jaanu. Rock On 2 film failed due to two reasons, one was demonetization and the lack of story. Ok Jaanu was the south remake film in Hindi but the audience didn’t love it.
In terms of competition, Half Girlfriend will face a tough competition with Half Girlfriend and Bahubali 2. Taking about the Bahubali 2 fear, director Mohit Suri said, “Anyone who says that they are just excited and not anxious and scared is lying. You cannot deny that Baahubali 2 is there and even Hindi Medium is releasing on the same day. You would want all the competition to be perfect for your film. But mainly I want the film to be liked. It’s a film with a big heart, rather than a big budget, so I think I am looking for that.”
Overall, Half Girlfriend first day collection is mindblowing.
