Fire At Akshay Kumar’s Kesari Sets Costs Huge Money To Makers, This Is How Much!
In an unfortunate turn of events, the sets of Akshay Kumar starrer Kesari in Wai caught fire last month. Entire sets along with lots of equipment were burnt down in the massive fire, fortunately, no one got hurt. This huge fire has cost huge money to the makers of Dharma Productions. The report suggests that the fire on the sets has cost them a whopping sum of Rs. 8 Crore. However, as usual, they had taken an insurance policy, which means that makers won’t have their money lost by the end.
According to the source, the insurance company has already conducted a survey of the sets and submitted their report to the company. The source was quoted saying to a leading daily DNA, “As it was an open location and it was windy, the fire spread rapidly and soon gutted everything. This has caused a loss of about Rs 8 crore. The production house has filed the claim. Once the paperwork is done, it will get the claim in due time.”
Coming back to the film, Kesari is based on the historic battle of Sargarhi featuring Akshay Kumar and Parineeti Chopra in the lead roles. The shooting of the film has been on the schedule if we take out the 10-day shoot at the Wai set, which will be planned later. The shooting will start in Spiti, Himachal Pradesh next week.
Kesari is slated to release on 20th March 2019.
