FIR Against Sidharth Malhotra To Be Filed For Insulting Bhojpuri Language, Hints Manoj Tiwari

Sidharth Malhotra is currently busy in promoting his upcoming film Aiyaary. The actor has landed himself in trouble for making insensitive remarks on the Bhojpuri language when he appeared on Bigg Boss 11 to promote his film. Earlier actress Neetu Chandra has slammed the actor for the same. Now, it looks like Bhojpuri actor and BJP Delhi Chief Manoj Tiwari is not too happy with his remarks either.

While giving an interview to a leading daily, Delhi BJP chief Manoj Tiwari has also shown his displeasure. He also hinted that FIRs are going to be filed against Sidharth for insulting the Bhojpuri language in Benaras, Patna, Mumbai, and Kolkata.

In his words,

“Main shock hua sun ke. Aur yeh bahut hi apattijanak hain aap kisi 22 crore logon ki language ko aap is prakar se bolo. It’s a big insult for 22 crore people. Main isko condemn karta hoon. We should respect every language of my country. Main sochta tha actor hai, kuch acha karega lekin isne toh bahut hi hurt kar diya. Hume nahi lagta log unko maaf karenge. Unko maafi maangni chahiye apne vyavahar ke liye.”

He further added,

“There are FIR’s being filed against in him in cities such as Patna, Benaras, Mumbai, and Kolkata.”

Sidharth Malhotra has apologized for his comment when Neetu Chandra slammed him by Tweeting. Apologizing for the same, Aiyaary actor tweeted, “I recently tried speaking a new language while I was on a TV show. In the process if I inadvertently hurt anyone’s feelings or sentiments, I apologise and assure you that no disrespect was meant in any way.”

To uninitiated, Aiyaary cast Sidharth Malhotra, Manoj Bajpayee and Rakul Preet Singh visited Salman Khan’s show Bigg Boss earlier. During the show, Salman gave them a task to enact something for the viewers. Rakul chose to play lady Chulbul Pandey and she did perfectly.

However, Manoj Bajpayee asked Sidharth to recreate Salman’s dialogue in Bhojpuri. As soon as Manoj gave him the task, Sidharth made some offensive expressions. If that was not all, he even made an insensitive remark after the task saying, “Latrine wali feel aayi bolte hue but accha laga…”

This has caught viewers attention and they are slamming him for offending the language.

Coming back to the film, Aiyaary is a political thriller directed by Neeraj Pandey. The movie features Sidharth Malhotra, Manoj Bajpayee, Rakul Preet Singh, Pooja Chopra and Adil Hussain. The movie is slated to release on 9th February 2018.
