Vivek Oberoi Starrer Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s biopic made lots of headlines at the start of ongoing Lok Sabha Election 2019. The movie based on the life of Prime Minister was slated to release on April 11 a day before the first phase of Lok Sabha Election but was stopped by the Election Commission of India.
The biopic titled PM Narendra Modi was stopped from releasing a day before its scheduled release date by the Election Commission of India for disrupting the level playing field during the election. EC banned the movie stating that any film promoting a political figure should not be aired during the election period.
However, there is good news for all the fans, who were waiting to watch the movie. PM Narendra Modi will now release on May 24, a day after the Lok Sabha Election 2019 result is announced.
Directed by Mary Kom fame Omung Kumar and produced by Sandip Ssingh, PM Narendra Modi features Vivek Oberoi in the title role. The producer Sandip Ssingh is hopeful that the movie won’t face any issues now, as it will release after the result of Lok Sabha Election is declared. Talking about the new release date, he said,
“As a responsible citizen, we respect the law of the country. After a lot of discussions and given the curiosity and excitement about the film, we have decided to release the film immediately after the Lok Sabha election results (to be announced on May 23),”
