Bajrangi Bhaijaan would be releasing at 5300-5400 screens just in India, though the count could increase a little as well as the film approaches release.

So far, the record of highest opening day is enjoyed by Happy New Year which netted over 42 crore. On the other hand Salman Khan’s record for the highest opening day is 33 crore, which was for Ek Tha Tiger. Moreover, the opening of his last release, Kick, was 26.5 crore. For a huge opening, a top heroine plays a major role. In that aspect, Kareena Kapoor Khan’s presence should help Bajrangi Bhaijaan enjoy an opening bigger than Kick. On the other hand Ek Tha Tiger had Katrina Kaif in a romantic musical. Since Bajrangi Bhaijaan is a drama with Salman pairing with a kid, this factor would come into play as well.

All of this means that while it is a given that Bajrangi Bhaijaan would enjoy an opening day of over 30 crore, it could well stretch to 35 crore. Anything over that would be a bonus.

As for the lifetime collections, it is too early to predict without the final product being on display. That said, even if the film meets an average response on the lines of Jai Ho, it would still cross at least the 150 crore mark. However, this would pretty much be the worst case scenario, which doesn’t seem to be the case for this Kabir Khan directed film. This means that at least 200 crore is pretty much on the cards for Bajrangi Bhaijaan, provided you and other super-strong fan base of Salman Khan encourage other peers and followers to watch the film only in theaters instead of pirated copies.

It is you, and only you, who can decide the ultimate lifetime collections of a film. The question to you is – Whether you would make it happen by saying no to piracy?

Just drop in your query at the Twitter handles below and one interesting question would be picked every day to build connect between you and fascinating world of Bollywood.
