Fatima Sana Shaikh became an overnight star after starring in Aamir Khan’s Dangal, which is the highest grossing Bollywood film ever. Now, the actress has signed one more film and will star opposite young heartthrob Sidharth Malhotra in Shotgun Shaadi.
The names of some other B-Town actresses like Shraddha Kapoor and Kriti Sanon were floating around for the same role. Earlier, it was also said that Parineeti Chopra was in talks to star opposite Sidharth. The reports further added that Pari liked the script, but her schedule didn’t work out. Finally, the makers have brought Fatima Sana Shaikh for the lead role opposite Sidharth Malhotra. No official announcement has been made as of yet.
Coming back to the movie, Shotgun Shaadi will deal with the issue of groom kidnapping in Bihar. According to the report, Sidharth will play a role of a goon, who kidnaps men and get them married forcefully.
On the work front, Fatima Sana Shaikh will be seen in YRF’s Thugs of Hindostan featuring Aamir Khan, Amitabh Bachchan and Katrina Kaif. Directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya and produced by Aditya Chopra, the movie is based on a novel titled Confession of a Thug by Philip Meadows Tylor. The movie is slated to release on 7th November 2018.
