Synopsis
As the name goes PK is surely a movie that makes you happy till the end. The film, unlike the dozens of romantic comedies that release each year is devoid of a thousand cliches and a hackneyed plot. The director Raj Kumar Hirani impressed me once again with their novelty and out of the box thinking.
Plot
Aamir Khan who is the go to guy for romantic comedies in Bollywood as a once famous writer who does not quite have the grip over his career at the moment. The twist of fate happens whenAnushka Sharma(who is back with a bang) approaches him.
Music
The music of the film was already popular before its release wit Shantanu Moitra giving us awesome tracks like Tharki Chokro, Chaar Kadam and others. The music is one of the best we have had this year and surely one of the main reasons why the film is enjoyable.
Script and Direction
The script like most romantic comedies does have a playboy meets girl who changes his outlook situation that we have seen numerous times but the fact that it has been shown with such class is what takes the film to a whole new level. I was already impressed by the direction of Raj Kumar Hirani and he does wonderfully well in PK.
Performances
Aamir Khan is great in the role he is playing in the film and fits in perfectly. Anushka Sharma gives the best performance of her career and carries off the role with such ease that she is a delight to watch. Sushant Singh Rajput too is perfect in the short role he has in the film.
But the show stealer is definitely Aamir Khan who makes you enjoy the film so much more. When he is on screen you cannot do anything but laugh. His performance is Kickass!
Verdict
PK is surely one film you should not miss as this year has not been as good for Bollywood. So, book your tickets now and watch the film ASAP! Great message and unique style.
