Elena Fernandes Supports Kapoor & Sons Co-star Fawad Khan Over Pakistani Actors Ban In India!

Bollywood actress and famous supermodel Elena Fernandes is now all excited to be a part of Bollywood industry. She has debuted in Bollywood with a critically acclaimed movie ‘Kapoor & Sons’, where she essayed the role of a writer. At latest, Elena opens up about his co-star Fawad Khan and called the Pakistani actors ban a ridiculous output over India-Pak surging tensions. In an interview with Dailymail.co.uk, she expressed her view about the ongoing India-Pakistan tensions and the ban over Pakistani actors in India. Elena Fernandes said, “The ban is ridiculous, and people should unite against any form of discrimination and hate crimes because this is what it is. One can never condone banning the majority because of the minority extremists.” Elena also said, “It’s an interesting phase for those associated with entertainment world, which is turning diverse in every possible way. There is work available for anyone who is capable, and it is irrespective of where you come from. It's all about proving yourself. People from Bollywood have opened up to a great extent and there is no barrier for actors to cross geographical boundaries and make a mark. This is because the industry is making a conscious attempt to break the stereotypes.” Elena also added, “Working in Bollywood, I have been directly involved in experiencing the diverse changes and have seen that directors are willing diversifying the content.” Elena is currently open to work in the films and now she is busy in reading movie scripts. Born in London, Elena has a strong connection to India as her father hails from ‘Goa’ and mother from ‘Peru’. She is already a renowned supermodel in India and has done modelling for Kingfisher Calendar from 2013-15. Apart from her professional career, she does social work, mainly related to the welfare of cats. Overall, Elena means to say that the actors and art transcend all boundaries and must remain free from any restrictions.
