Eid- the Box Office crasher

This is Eid, one of the most pompous festivals in not only India but the entire world. So as it turns out, it is one of the best times to release a movie. Now as it turns out Eid had always been a boon for Bollywood. As it turns out, whichever Bollywood movie is released on this day, it has turned out to be a success. As a matter of fact, statistics prove the fact that any movie that is released on this day featuring one of the Khans has grossed more than 100 crores. Here is the list of movies that grossed more than 100 crores. 1. Bodyguard Eid and Bhaijaan are too closely related. Eid without Salman’s movie is as same as Eid without sewaiya. So let’s starting the list with Salman’s movie- Bodyguard. This movie was released in 2011 and the Box Office collection grossed to 148.66 crores. 2. Ek Tha Tiger Next in the list is another of Salman’s movies- Eka Tha Tiger. This movie was released in 2012. It was about the love story of two spies from two different countries. Katrina Kaif plays the role of Pakistani spy under ISI and Salman plays the role of an Indian spy under RAW. The movie grossed an amount of 198 crores. 3. Chennai Express When it is about the Khans, how can someone forget Badshah Khan? Shahrukh’s Chennai Express grossed 227.13 crores. The movie was released in 2013 and also starred Deepika Padukone. 4. Kick Another Salman Khan movie, Kick was released in 2014. The movie collected an amount of 231.85 crores. Directed by Kabir Khan, this movie also had Jacqueline Fernandez in the lead. 5. Bajrangi Bhaijaan Yet another Salman Khan movie collected 320.34 crores. This movie is about the journey of a common man who intended to return a deaf and dumb Pakistani child to her parents. Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Kareena Kapoor played important roles in the movie along with child artist Harshali Malhotra. This year Salman’s Sultan has released and the way the tickets are being sold it seems it will break all records.
