After a long time finally Drashti Dhami made a came back with Colors newly started show- ‘Silsila Badalte Rishto Ka’. In a recent interview with Bombay times, actress was asked why it took so long to make a comeback. To this actress said, “Unlike others, who claim to be showered with projects, I wasn’t. I was offered a few shows, but they didn’t interest me. It’s not that ‘Oh! I got some 20 shows and declined them all.”
As we know her last two projects- ‘Pardes Mein Hai Mera Dil’, ‘Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani’ failed miserably. It failed to recreate the ‘Madhubala’ magic. To this actress said that there’s no pressure to live up to expectations. She explains, “More than proving anything to anyone, it’s about improving with every project. Of course, it feels bad when a show doesn’t work, but I am not the kind to lose hope. I don’t ever feel stressed about such things. Also, I don’t feel bad when people call me Madhubala even today, because that’s one of my favourite shows. Having said that, I don’t have to live up to an image. I did my job and everything else is destiny.”
Talking about her newly started show on colors, Drasti explained what made her do the show. Actress said, “I had my reservations, but it was a really good concept and I am getting to do something different. So far, I have played a poor girl getting married to a rich guy. Here, both the guy and the girl are from middle-class families. The story revolves around modern couples.”
During the ‘Madhubala’ days there was buzz that Vivian Dsena and Drashti Dhami share a cold vibes on the set and with Drashti’s recent statement about Vivian gave confirmation to it. Recently she went on a chat show with her best friend Nakuul Mehta where in a rapid fire round actress made the statement that ‘one actor with whom she never wanna work with is Vivian Dsena’.
Talking about the same in interview to Bombay Times, Drashti cleared the once and for all saying that, “That was a fun show done a while ago. But today, if a good script comes my way, I will be happy to take it up. My equation with Vivian is very good. We never had any personal clashes, and also shared amazing on-screen chemistry. He is a fab guy. Every time I fell ill on the set, he took care of me. Probably, we had a bad phase because of circumstances. It’s not that we don’t talk if we bump into each other. The only thing I will keep in mind if and when I work with him again is keeping a good professional rapport.”
