Rajinikanth starrer ‘Kabali’ was touted to be the record breaker of the year but in the second week itself, it is clear that it will not go for a long run in the coming week. Audience occupancy at the theatres in the second week was very low and it gives us a feeling that it won’t remain at the Silver screen until the 4th week.
Earlier, it was predicted that the movie will break Sultan records at the Box-Office but it is hardly getting any audience in the northern circuits. Even in the south circuit, ‘Kabali’ has seen a steep fall in the collections, especially in Andra Pradesh.
Nevertheless, it is still getting a decent audience at Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka; which is a good sign for the movie. In the second week, the film has collected nett Rs. 27.50 crore which makes it the total to 175 crores. It still lacks behind with the total of Rajinikanth’s ‘Robot’ which was 195 Crore.
Will the kind of response we have seen in the second week, it is clear that it will not able to break the record of ‘Robot’. But we never know its Rajinikanth’s movie and it might be stretch till the fourth week at the theatres.
We just hope the best for Rajinikanth’s ‘Kabali’!
