Sushant Singh Rajput recorded his final song for the upcoming film ‘Dil Bechara’ in a single take! Choreographed by Farah Khan, the rehearsal for the song was done in a day and then shot on the next.
The director of the film Mukesh Chhabra revealed that it was the last ever song that Sushant shot for. He mentioned, “Farah Khan choreographed it and she rehearsed the song with Sushant for a day and then shot the whole song in one shot. That’s it. Just one shot. The song picturization is deceptively simple and Sushant who was a very good dancer, made it look effortless.”
Another interesting fact regarding this track is that Farah Khan charged Mukesh nothing for the shoot of this song.
He explained, “Farah di agreed to choreograph the song in a minute of my asking her. And she hasn’t charged me anything for this song.”
Farah also shared her experience regarding working with Sushant for the first time. She said this song will always be close to her because of that very reason. However, she revealed that they were close but had never worked on any project together.
While talking about the song, she stated, “I wanted the song to be done as a one shot song because I knew Sushant would be able to do it perfectly, because I remembered Sushant had once come to a reality dance show that I was judging as a celebrity guest and that’s the only time the celebrity guest danced better than the contestants on that show.”
That is not all! Farah mentioned that when it only took half a day for the song to get wrapped up, she rewarded Sushant with homecooked food from her house.
“We rehearsed a whole day and then finished shooting in half a day! As a reward for nailing it perfectly, all Sushant wanted was food from my house which I duly got for him. I see the song and all I can see is how alive, how happy he looks in it. And this song is always going to be very special for me,” she mentioned.
We hope the sheer legacy and tales of the simplicity of the actor continues to live on. Rest in Peace, Sushant.
Dil Bechara will release on Disney+ Hotstar from July 24 and also stars Bollywood newbie Sanjana Sanghi.
