Manushi Chhillar has made the whole country proud when she was crowned Miss World 2017. After a long wait of 17 years, she has brought the Miss World Crown back in India. The entire country is filled with joy and proud of her achievements.
Since the day Manushi won the Miss World title, everyone is talking about her. Recently, she received a grand welcome at the Mumbai airport that too at midnight.

Upon arrival in the country, Manushi gave an interview to leading daily Indiatimes. The Miss World 2017 didn’t fail to amaze everyone. Check out highlights from the interview. When she was asked one question, she is dying to answer which no one has asked her as of yet, she gave a fabulous yet surprising answer. Answering about the same, she said,
“A lot of people have been asking me about my engagement. I am supposed to be engaged with someone, so actually I have been dying that someone should ask me about my engagement, because it’s even in Wikipedia page and it’s quite funny because I don’t even know who this person is, but I wish people would have asked me about it.”
Finally, she has cleared big rumors floating around on the web. She further added, “Do I look engaged? I am 20 year old”. She even sarcastically said, “I actually want to meet this fiancée because he has made my parents life much easier.” Well, it looks like Manushi Chhillar was in a very good mood in the interview.
When asked about making her dreams come true, she said, “It has been the most incredible journey, I just cannot explain that feeling when I was crowned as Miss World. It was beautiful and I felt like whatever I was dreaming was actually falling in place”
Manushi Chhillar has also won Beauty with Purpose title; she has started a very noble campaign to create awareness around menstrual hygiene in rural areas of the country. When she was asked about the reason behind it, Manushi said, “While growing up I saw a lot of incidents, I felt very bad to see poor menstrual hygiene , and I as a female, instantly got connected with it.”

She further added, “I have visited many rural areas where I felt extremely bad to see the lack of awareness on not using sanitary pads during their menstruation, because it’s not available in shops or they feel ashamed to buy it. I was blessed to have a family like this and get all the facility, so I thought someone should be there to help them and I took over the responsibility.”
When asked about Akshay Kumar’s upcoming film Padman, Manushi said, “I am really happy that Bollywood is taking an effort in the direction on the hygiene bit, because entertainment does play a very important role. Bollywood is a huge industry and lot of people watch it, so it is a very good medium to reach out.”
Manushi Chhillar’s big win has also created some controversy. Some people have even started raising question over beauty pageants saying why we can’t appreciate inner beauty rather than outer beauty. Amidst all the chaos, we are very proud of her achievements and wish her all the success in life.
