Dhoni’s Absence Cost CSK A Defeat Against SRH, Twitter Shows How Much They Missed Dhoni With Funny Memes
Chennai Super Kings is the most successful franchise in IPL and 2019 is no different. Led by dynamic and legendary leader MS Dhoni CSK has been positioned at the top of the points table in this IPL. CSK and Dhoni go hand in hand, no one could ever imagine CSK with Mahi. This is why fans were shocked when they realized Dhoni was not playing against CSK. In yesterday’s match, Dhoni was rested and Suresh Raina took command of the team.
MS Dhoni is one of the pivotal parts of India’s squad to ICC World Cup 2019, it was pretty obvious that he would be rested. After all, CSK has almost qualified for the playoffs and they need to win just a couple of match amongst their remaining fixture. Indian Skipper Virat Kohli has already stated that all the players selected for World Cup should take care of their fitness, as the World Cup comes every four years but IPL comes every year.
Nevertheless, stand-in skipper Suresh Raina won the toss and elected to bat first against SRH yesterday at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad. CSK put up just 132 runs on the board, which was easily chased down by SRK with 3 overs to spare.
CSK fans were mighty upset after seeing their favorite player not playing the match. With the shocking defeat, they were also upset knowing that it was the first time Dhoni hasn’t led CSK since 2010. As usual, they expressed their disappointment with hilarious memes.
