‘Dhadak’ proved to be the perfect debut movie for Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter. The romantic flick has entered the 100 crore club globally. On the first day, it collected an amount of Rs 8.71 crore in the Indian market, thereby becoming the highest opening Bollywood film featuring newcomers. It has left behind the first-day collection of ‘Student Of The Year’. It is the remake of Marathi blockbuster ‘Sairat’.
On Wednesday, Karan Johar took to Twitter to share that Dhadak has crossed Rs 100 mark worldwide.
He wrote, “DHADAK!!!!! Wins hearts globally !! 100 crore WORLDWIDE GROSS!!! A rare feat for a film with newcomers! So proud of Janhvi and Ishan! @ShashankKhaitan.”

Dhadak is Shashank’s third film Karan Johar. His previous films ‘Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania’ and ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’, were also successful at the box office.
At the Indian box office, the total earnings of Dhadak stand at Rs 63.39 crore. Janhvi was very happy with the success of her debut movie and she took to Instagram and wrote, “Thankful, grateful, and blessed for all of you, and because of all of you. #dhadak.”
