Deepika Padukone to begin shooting for Chhapaak in THIS month? Details here

Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh got married on 14th and 15th November, 2018 in a private ceremony at Lake Como in Italy, in presence of their families and close relatives! Following which, the duo hosted reception parties for their relatives and friends from the Bollywood Fraternity! Now, that all their wedding festivities are over, the duo are back to their work routine! While Ranveer Singh has just put up a great work in his movies Simmba and Gully Boy, Deepika Padukone is yet to come up with her next, Chhapaak! The buzz reports that the DP is to begin shooting for Meghna Gulzar’s Chhapaak soon!

Based on the real-life story of acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal, the film will reportedly go on floors in May. According to a report published by a leading media house, Deepika Padukone will not only be essaying the role of the titular character, but she has also turned producer for the flick. Currently, the entire team is busy with the look test of the main characters. Meghna Gulzar has been sharing photos with her team on her Instagram.

Deepika Padukone took to her Instagram account to share what Chhapaak, in a nutshell, is all about. The actress shared a photo that read, “A STORY OF TRAUMA AND TRIUMPH AND THE UNQUASHABLE HUMAN SPIRIT.” She captioned it, “#Chhapaak @meghnagulzar @vikrantmassey87 @foxstarhindi”

Chhapaak, that stars Vikrant Massey as Deepika’s on-screen husband. The movie is based on the life and journey of the acid attack victim Laxmi. Speaking of the film’s subject, Laxmi was 15 when she was attacked with acid by two middle-aged men. Apparently, she had rejected the advances of a 32-year-old man and in a fit of rage, he got her attacked.
