Deepika, Sara land in Mumbai for NCB interrogation in Drugs Case
The star kid and late actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s ‘Kedarnath’ co-star, Sara Ali Khan, who was recently named by prime accused in SSR’s death case, Rhea Chakraborty in her NCB interrogation for consuming illegal substances, has now landed in the city two days ahead of her Narcotics Control Bureau questioning over drug usage accusations. Whereas, another suspect in the case also an A-listed star, Deepika Padukone also reached Mumbai with her hubby Ranveer Singh from Goa. Both the actresses will be interrogated on the same day that is on September 26, contrary to the previous reports where Deepika was called for questioning on September 25.
Confirming the news, NCB source said, “Deepika Padukone has acknowledged the summons and has submitted to joining the investigation on Saturday.”
On Wednesday, the central drug investigating agency had issued summons to Bollywood actresses like Shraddha Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Rakul Preet Singh, Sara Ali Khan and Fashion designer Simone Khambatta, as their names had cropped up in NCB’s drug investigation.
Sara Ali Khan, whose name was reportedly given out by Rhea in her NCB interrogation, was vacationing in Goa with brother Ibrahim Ali Khan and mother Amrita Singh before her name came into Bollywood drug cartel. During the NCB drug probe, Rhea Chakraborty allegedly named Sara, Rakul and Simone’s and also confessed doing drugs together.
Now as Sara’s name has come into this drug controversy, security was beefed up outside the Mumbai airport in view of her security ahead of her arrival. The newbie was snapped with her mother Amrita Singh, both taking safety precautions and donning a face mask and a mandatory face shield at the airport.
Meanwhile, Deepika Padukone, who is expected to appear before NCB officials, day after tomorrow, landed Mumbai with her hubby Ranveer Singh. The actress was busy shooting Shakun Batra’s next co-starring Ananya Panday and Siddhant Chaturvedi in Goa. Deepika will now appear before NCB officials, on September 26, in connection with a drug case related to Sushant Singh Rajput death.
