Recently on October 20, the iconic Bollywood movie ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’ starring Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol, celebrated 25 glorious years of its release. Where the whole film fraternity and cinema lovers were seen in a celebration mood for DDLJ’s 25 years compilation, even critics like Taran Adarsh were seen commemorating the landmark success of ‘DDLJ’ and took the internet by surprise as he announced the huge plan of its re-release in 18 countries across the globe.

Notably, the film will be re-released in the USA, Canada, UK, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Mauritius, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, Germany, Norway, Sweden, Spain, Switzerland, Estonia and Finland. However, the release date is yet to be finalized by the filmmakers.

The mega-blockbuster and all time hit of the Indian cinema, that popularised Hindi cinema worldwide, ‘DDLJ’ was a huge success. The movie had won record-breaking 10 Filmfare Awards and also went on to become the longest-running Hindi film of all time!

Meanwhile, the lead actor Shah Rukh Khan who later on popularised as the ‘King of romance’ after immortalising his on-screen character as Raj in DDLJ, is currently cheering his IPL team Kolkata Knight Riders at the ongoing cricket tournament in Dubai, UAE. Whereas, actress Kajol, who played Simran, was last seen in a short film, ‘Devi’, which was released on the digital platform.
