Daya Ben From Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma Have Featured In Five Bollywood Films!

Disha Vakani who is away from Television these days but her Gujarati accent and her cute dialogue ” Hey Maa Mataji” is famous among the fans of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah  Chashma.  Disha struggled a lot to reach the TV. and the actress has been part of several films, like B-grade films and short role in Bollywood films.

Jodha Akbar

Disha played an important role in the Ashutosh Gowarikar’s Jodha Akbar.  She played Madhavi, one of Jodha’s handmaiden. Fans did not recognize her during that film but later after getting popular on television she was noticed.

Devdas

Disha was quite popular in historical dramas. She also worked with  Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Devdas where she played a character Sakhi. I bet you must have not recognised her but to spot her again you’ll have to watch the movie with care.

This film featured Priyanka Chopra and Harman Baweja which released in 2008. And Disha’s character in the movie was of a maid. And this was the same year she bagged Taarak Mehta Ka Oolata Chashmah.
