Half Girlfriend and Hindi Medium are the two films that released on May 19, 2017. Despite the clash situation, both the movies have worked well at the box office. Right now, the Day three collections are out and we can clearly say that Hindi Medium is the tough competitor to Half Girlfriend.

Both the movies started on a slow note at the Box Office on Friday, but Hindi Medium has performed better than Half Girlfriend. On the first day, Irrfan Khan starrer film has raked 2.81 crores. On the second day, it collects another 4.25 crores and the Sunday collection was even better 5.50 crores. The total sum of money collected in the first weekend is 12.56 crores. The good reviews and a positive word of a mouth publicity have helped the film to get good audience occupancy.

Well, Half Girlfriend too has performed decently at the Box Office. Here I mean that collections were stable from Day one to Day three. On Friday it earns 10. 27 crores, which was good in terms of expectations. On Saturday – it again got the same response at the box office and it collects 10.63 crores. It was expected that Half Girlfriend will perform great collections on the Day three but it didn’t happen. It only able to collect 11.14 crores. The overall collection of the first weekend is 32.04 crores. Arjun Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor starrer movie have made on a budget of 40 crores and it is very clear that it will collect over 50 to 55 crores by the end of the first week.
