David Warner Mocks Ashwin For The Mankading Incident And The Video Is Hilarious

The ongoing IPL 2019 is keeping all the fans glued to the TV and mobile screens, all thanks to several amazing last-ball finishes. Each and every IPL fan is hoping to see their favorite team lift the prestigious trophy. Despite so many thrilling matches, one incident that has taken over the IPL this year is the mankading incident involving Kings XI Punjab Skipper R Ashwin.

As you may know, R. Ashwin mankaded Jos Buttler in KXIP Vs RR match early in the tournament. As per the rule, Ashwin had right to run-out the non-striker batsman if he goes out of the crease before the ball is released by the bowler. However, Ashwin was brutally slammed by fans and several cricketing legends for this incident. Normally, this method is not used to take wickets in the spirit of the game.

Now, Sunrisers Hyderabad batsman David Warner mocked Ashwin over the Mankading incident. It happened during KXIP Vs SRH match played on Monday in Mohali when Ashwin was bowling.

When Ashwin was bowling and David Warner was on non-striker’s end, the Aussie opener deliberately pushed his bat further inside the crease while staying out of the crease so that Ashwin could see that he can mankad him.

Even commentators noticed Warner’s hilarious act and reacted on it. Later, the official Twitter handle of IPL shared a video with a caption,

“WATCH: No, Warner doesn’t want to get ‘Mankaded’”

Here Is The Tweet:

It was clearly a sly dig at Ashwin, as Warner was not repeating it when other bowlers were bowling. One Twitter user shared a tweet showing Warner at non-striker’s end when Ashwin was bowling and when others were bowling.

That’s funny, isn’t it?
