Prior to the release of Dangal in China, Amrita Pandey, Vice President of Dangal’s co-producer Disney India said, “Dangal will release in China in 9,000 screens – which is the widest ever release for an Indian film in any territory. We are very excited to release Dangal in China. The film is very special and with a story which has the potential to travel the world and transcend geographies.”
In India, the movie was released over 4000 screens and earned a total of 387 crores. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the film also stars Zaira Wasim, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Sakshi Tanwar in the titular roles.
On the professional front, Aamir Khan will next be seen in a cameo role in Secret Superstar. Apart from that, Aamir will start working on Thugs Of Hindostan with Amitabh Bachchan from June 2017.
Overall, Dangal collection in China is all set to surpass the lifetime collection of PK which was over 100 crores.
