Dangal Has Not Crossed Rs 2000 Crore In The Worldwide Market

Earlier there were reports of Dangal entering the 2000 crore club. But now a spokesperson from the team rubbished all the false reports and said that the movie has not yet crossed Rs 2000 crore. The spokesperson said, “We have been reading a lot of reports saying that Dangal has crossed 2000 cr worldwide. Just to set the record straight, we want to clarify that Dangal’s official worldwide gross collection figure as of Thursday is 1864 cr.”

 

He added, “We are very happy that our film has been so successful, and what is of most value for Aamir Khan and the entire team of Dangal is the immense love the film has got from the audience across the globe. We are looking forward to the film to release in other untapped territories to reach more audience.”

Dangal has received much appreciation at the Chinese box office. It received a positive response from the neighbouring country. The wrestling drama has given tough competition to many Hollywood movies like xXx: Return of Xander Cage and Captain America: Civil War. Well, Baahubali 2 is also releasing this month or may be next and it will be a tough competition to Dangal. Both the movies have already set records at the Indian box office and now lets’s see how Baahubali 2 performs at the Chinese box office.

Talking about Dangal it is a sports drama starring Aamir Khan as Mahavir Singh Phogat. For this particular role, Aamir Khan has gained 30 plus kgs and then shed nearly 25 kg to essay this role. In this particular film, Fatima Sana Shaikh has essayed the role of Geeta Phogat and Sanya Malhotra played the role of Babita Kumari.

In India, Dangal was released on December 23rd and continued to run for nearly seven weeks. The lifetime collection of Dangal was 744 crores worldwide. In that, 387 crores was an Indian nett collection. With this collection, it has become the highest earning film till date in Bollywood.
