Those who were extremely excited for ‘Sultan’ and ‘Raees’ Clash at the Silver Screen at Eid, must be disappointed with this latest news. According to the Makers of ‘Raees’, they are not in a mood to release the film along with Salman Starrer ‘Sultan’ and pushed the movie for the next year.
According to Trade Analyst, it was clear that both the movies will suffer losses if they release on the very day of Eid. Though it’s not possible to Delay the Bhaijaan’s ‘Sultan’ movie, so the makers of ‘Raees’ have though for the Plan B. They didn’t want their movie to suffer at all by competing with ‘Sultan’ and that’s why they come up with an idea of delaying their film.
In a Joint Statement released by ‘Raees’ star Shah Rukh Khan and the producers, Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani, they quoted to leading daily saying, “It was not an easy decision to move the film. We understand that ‘Raees’ is highly anticipated. However, a film of such magnitude requires the appropriate showcasing and therefore, we have decided to shift our release date to 26th January 2017.”
Now it’s clear that there will be no clash between ‘Sultan’ and ‘Raees’, but here comes another Clash problem. As it’s been said that ‘Raees’ will be releasing on January 26, which means that the movie will again have to face the clash with Hrithik Roshan starrer ‘Kaabil’.
Though ‘Raees’ was planned to delay for a September release but the makers have delayed it further as they don’t want to have a clash with Nitya Mehra’s ‘Baar Baar Dekho’.
All in all, ‘Raees’ almost delayed now for 6 months. It looks like the Makers are concerned for ‘Raees’ Business aspect as the past few SRK movies were tanked down severely. We just wish, the Best of Luck for ‘Raees’ in the future.
