‘The Jungle Book’ crosses 100 crore, giving tough competition to ‘Fan’

Hollywood movie ‘The Jungle Book’, which embarked on a voyage at Indian Box-Office on April 8, is still sailing high despite the release of Shah Rukh Khan Starrer Fan. The Neel Sethi starrer film had done the magic at the Box-Office by collecting over 100 crores within 10 days.

It was already predicted by the experts that the ‘Iron Man’ fame Director Jon Favreau’s film ‘The Jungle Book’ will do a good business at the cash counter. But no one had expected that the movie will able to cross 100 crores and that also in such a short span of time. The critical acclaim and the mouth publicity has really done the magic for the film. All the age group people are heading towards Cinema Halls to have a real feel of The Jungle Book. The film has been dubbed in four Indian languages and is having a good run at the Box-Office across India.

This weekend, despite the competition with SRK starrer Fan, the film has able to do good business. The film has collected Rs.101.82 crore at the Indian box office so far. Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh posted on Monday, “’The Jungle Book’ refuses to slow down. (Week 2) Friday Rs.8.02 crore, Saturday Rs.8.51 crore, Sunday Rs.10.67 crore. Total: Rs.101.82 crore nett. India biz. Outstanding.”

Along with Neel Sethi, the film is supported by star cast Bill Murray, Ben Kingsley, Idris Elba, Lupita Nyong’o, Scarlett Johansson and Christopher Walken. On the other side, the film was also dubbed in Hindi by famous celebrities in India. Irrfan Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Nana Patekar, Shefali Shah and Om Puri have lent their voice for ‘The Jungle Book’.

According to Film Experts, ‘The Jungle Book’ will go down in the coming days to give away to SRK’s ‘Fan’ for a good return of money at the Box-Office.
