Music composer Tanishk Bagchi recreates ‘Ghazab Ka hai din’ for Dil Junglee movie

Aamir Khan-Juhi Chawla chartbuster, “Gazab Ka Hai Din” from their 1988 Romeo- Juliet romance, Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak is one of Hindi cinema’s most iconic romantic song. The evergreen song ‘Ghazab Ka Hai Din’ is recreated by Tanishk Bagchi who earlier worked on other recreations like “Humma Humma” (OK Jaanu) and “Tamma Tamma” (Badrinath Ki Dulhania) among others. Keeping the vibe of the song alive, Tanishk Bagchi has recreated the Antara and melody of the song for a wider appeal. Taapsee Pannu and Saqib Saleem are all set to go retro on music composer Tanishk Bachi’s recreation for Dil Junglee movie.
Talking about how the song is different from original, music composer Tanishk Bagchi comments, ‘ I have rearranged the song completely and can be heard in an all-new avatar. The hook-line has been maintained but the words and tune of the antara have been changed to give the song a more romantic ballad feel. The song features a happy melody blended with the rhythmic violin, grand piano, and accordion. It is such a legendary song to recreate and I hope it’s relatable to today’s audience.’

Talking about the trend of remakes, he further comments, ‘ I have done originals songs as well and at the same time soulful songs too. Honestly, most of my recreated tracks are soaring high on charts with each day like Mere Rashke Qamar, The Humma Song, Tamma Tamma, Baaki and lots. Music in both these spaces has worked for me. But I thoroughly enjoy creating original compositions.’

Tanishk Bagchi, who earlier on recreated popular hits Humma Humma and Tamma Tamma debuted in Bollywood with the song Banno composed by him for Tanu Weds Manu Returns. He is also the composer behind some of the record-breaking original compositions like Bolna from Kapoor & Sons apart from the title track of Badrinath Ki Dulhania. Tanishk Bagchi seems to the flavor of this award season with a triple nomination in Filmfare, then Zee Cine Award, Mirchi Music Awards, etc.
