A complete transformation of Shahid Kapoor, From Lover Boy Image to Druggist in ‘Udta Punjab’

Shahid Kapoor’s journey in Bollywood is one of a remarkable one till date. You must have remembered him as young lad acting in an Album song ‘Aankhon Mein Tera Hi Chehra’ in the late 90s and currently he is just a step ahead with every superstar of his generation. He is now playing the role of a drug addict in upcoming flick ‘Udta Punjab’. A lot has been changed in the Bollywood since Shahid debuted in his chocolate boy avatar in ‘Ishq-Vishk’ in 2003. Since then, he starred in many rom-com flicks ‘Fida’, ‘Dil Maange More’, ‘Vaah! Life Ho Toh Aisi!’, and ‘36 China Town’ which has helped him to make a base in Bollywood. Till then, he has established himself in Bollywood as a chocolaty hero but still he was looking for something very different. It was in the year 2007 when luck turned out to him with ‘Jab We Met’. In this movie, we have seen a different avatar of Shahid which was completely different from all his recent movies. His serious role and the depth in his acting has garnered him a lot of praise from Critics and Media. It was around this time in real life, Shahid-Kareena parted their ways. Soon after his break-up, he was always in the limelight for the negative reasons but still all these issues never deterred him away by honing his acting skills. He finally returned in a dual avatar in Vishal Bhardwaj’s Kaminey and stunned the masses with his acting prowess. In Vishal Bhardwaj image, Shahid not only found a good director but also a good mentor. Since then, he went on to star in many blockbuster hits like ‘R.. Rajkumar’, ‘Dil Bole Hadippa’ and his best ever film ‘Haider’. Recently, you must have seen him in his latest film ‘Udta Punjab’ trailer where his looks in the movie are still a talk of the town. The way he had transformed him from his lover boy image to a druggist role of ‘Tommy Singh’ in his next. He is certainly called one of the best in the Film Industry.
