‘Comedy Nights With Kapil’ Is Back On Colors. Here’s Why ..

The ace comedian, Kapil Sharma and the television channel Colors had called off their professional relationship earlier this year and all the fans of the show were completely taken aback. Things turned uglier after the interview of Raj Nayak, and it seemed Kapil will never return to the channel.

As of now, it seems Colors has gone into huge losses after the exit of Kapil Sharma. The television channel has been airing the old episodes of Kapil Sharma’s show Comedy Nights With Kapil.

The television channel Colors, had two comedy shows in its kitty, Comedy Nights Bachao and Comedy Nights Live which was hosted by the comedians, Krishna Abhishek and Bharti Singh. But from the looks of it, it seems they have failed to pull off the show and garner TRPs for the channel. Thereafter, in order to increase TRPs, Colors has started telecasting the old episodes of Comedy Nights With Kapil on the weekends.

It sounds quirky when we say Colors is telecasting the episodes of their rival’s show but we know the reason behind it. Apparently, Star Plus has beaten Colors in the TRP race. Yes! You heard it right. According to the Broadcast Audience Research Council, India ratings, Star Plus has beaten Colors by taking the top most position and Colors is on the second position. Star Plus is ahead of Colors by 1.6 GRPs in Week 29 and the gap increased in the next week where Star Plus was ahead with 6.7 GRPs.

While, Colors slipped down to the second position in the race of TRPs, it had another shocker tied up in its list. Not a single show of the channel is present in the list of the top television shows.

As you can see, Zee TV’s Kumkum Bhagya tops the list, followed by Brahmarakshas – Jaag Utha Shaitan, Kapil Sharma’s show on Sony, The Kapil Sharma Show and SAB TV’s Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah.

Well, now you know why Colors is airing Comedy Nights With Kapil on the weekends. Seems, they want to climb onto the first position but they know, that won’t be possible without Kapil Sharma. 😉
