Actor Savi Sidhu, who featured in minor roles in movies such as Gulaal, Black Friday and Patiala House.
Savi Sidhu is employed as a watchman at a building in Mumbai’s Parel and in the video, he says, he had to take a break from acting due to his deteriorating health.
Savi spoke about his struggling days and what led him to take up the security guard’s job. “The toughest phase of my life was when I lost my wife. Then my father passed away and my mother also died and later in-laws too. I was left alone. I am all alone,” he said.
Savi Sidhu said after the break, he found it difficult to join the film industry and is currently working as a watchman to improve his financial condition. “It is a 12-hour tough job. It’s a mechanical job. I don’t even have money to buy bus tickets. To watch a film in theatre is like a dream now. My financial condition is not good.”
He plans to reach out to filmmakers for work: “I’m hopeful that they will give me work. I’ve received positive response from them before and they will not say no. May be, they are waiting for me. Main aa raha hoon….”
