CID Going Off Air: Fans Trended #SaveCID Asking Sony TV Not To End The Show
CID is the longest running show in the country. However, fans of the show were in a shock when Dayanand Shetty (who plays Daya on the show) confirmed that the crime procedural show is going off air soon and the last episode will air on October 27, 2018.
Daya further revealed that the show was running for 21st years and had they shot for a few more episodes, it would have been in the 22ndyear. All the casts and crew were working normally when they got cancellation notice from the channel Sony TV. All of the sudden everyone was informed that the shooting has been canceled indefinitely due to some problems with Sony TV.
Daya also said that the entire team has worked very hard to make this show a success and all the co-actors are like a big happy family so much so that, CID was their second home.
It is true that CID is an iconic show in the history of Indian Television. The sudden cancellation of the show must be heartening for the true fans. This is why several fans started a campaign to save the show from going off-air. They took to Twitter to express their disappointment over the news urging Sony to not take the show off-air.
This Is How They Reacted:
