After our country faced the Uri attacks in Kashmir, the entire nation is in shock and are expressing their anger in many different ways . In Maharashtra, the political party MNS led by Raj Thackeray-has issued an ultimatum to Pakistani artistes to leave India within 48 hours of time . The Pakistan artists anong others also include names like Fawad Khan, Mahira Khan, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Ali Zafar.
Not only the political party have asked Pakistani artist to leave India , but also have threatened the release of Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and Raees in Maharashtra due to Fawad and Mahira working in these films , respectively.
Post this ultimatum, there are many reactions coming in from different parts of the country as well as from Pakistan. Pakistani actor-model Veena Malik says, “Whenever anything happens, we (actors) become the soft targets. Why does no one ever talk of trade and cricket matches that are happening between India and Pakistan? I don’t remember if any (Pak) actor has ever attacked or threatened someone in India. It’s the extremists who portray us in bad light.” The actor has worked and stayed in India for 3 years and now currently the actor is staying in Pakistan.
She further adds , “I’ve been getting lot of offers and calls to work in India but I think I need peace of mind to be creative. I cannot act knowing that a bunch of people are sitting outside the studio threatening me to leave their country,” quips the actor who is currently staying in Pakistan. The actor was also a part of Big Boss season in India .
