Blackbuck Poaching Case: Salman Khan Appears Before Jodhpur Court, Next Hearing On July 17
Superstar Salman Khan appeared before Jodhpur Court today morning for the hearing in the blackbuck poaching case. The court has now set 17th July as the next date for hearing actor’s application challenging his conviction of a five-year jail term in the case.
District and Session Judge Chandra Kumar Songara heard the application. Salman Khan was also present in the court.
A huge crowd gathered to get a glimpse of Bollywood superstar Salman Khan when he was leaving the airport. The actor was accompanied by his sister Alvira, his friend Baba Siddiqui and his lawyers.
Tiger Zinda Hai actor was convicted and handed a five-year imprisonment on 5th April for killing two blackbucks 19 years ago. He spent two days in the Jodhpur Central Jail before getting a bail by session court on 7th April.
Fellow actor Saif Ali Khan, Neelam, Tabu and Sonali Bendre were acquitted by the trial court. Another accused Dushyant Singh was also acquitted.
Salman Khan was accused of killing blackbucks in Kankani village near Jodhpur on 1st October 1998 when he was shooting for Hum Saath Saath Hain.
