Bollywood Beauty Bipasha Basu, who was recently invited to attend the World International Yoga Day in Bengaluru, didn’t get paid at all. The reason is a whopping bill of Rs 45 Lakh which the Finance department rejected to pay. The reason will definitely give you a shock!
On the occasion of the 2nd World International Yoga Day, Bipasha Basu was invited to perform Yoga by a Shwaasa, a Yoga teaching institute run by yoga expert Vachananand Swamiji. The programme was conceived by the state government’s Ayush (Directorate of Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unnani, Siddha and Homeopathy) in tandem along with Shwaasa.
According to Subhash K Malkhede, Ayush Director, “The programme was organised by the government and no formal invitation was extended by the state to Bipasha Basu. The government was in no way connected to her presence at Kanteerava Stadium and has no idea about the remuneration payable to her. The private partner (referring to Shwaasa) has submitted bills for various expenses and all of these are not acceptable.”
As per Ayush, the confusion arose when the private partner Shwaasa came on board to be a part of the event. Ayush had submitted the request to the State Government for seeking Rs 10 Lakhs for organising the event Kanteerava Stadium. With the final bill of the programme was introduced to the Finance Department of Rs 45 Lakh came, they literally got a shock to see the whooping numbers.
Now, who is cheating who is yet not cleared and the finance department has asked the organisers to give a detailed bill to understand the finances. Now, the government organiser is blaming the private organiser who has invited Bipasha Basu without their consent?
Even sources in the finance department raised the objection by saying “How can the expenditure for the yoga event go up from Rs 10 lakh last to Rs 45 lakh this year. Moreover, the celebrity guest (Bipasha Basu) is no longer a top-notch actress in Bollywood.”
Now, let’s see how the organiser will deal with it but overall it’s not a good visit for Bipasha Basu at all.
