Bill Gates Lauds Amitabh Bachchan For His Polio Eradication Efforts, This Is How He Replied
Bill Gates praised Amitabh Bachchan for his contribution in helping India becoming polio-free. Gates lauded Big B for his opinion piece he wrote highlighting the journey of India in becoming free from the disease for past four years. 75-year-old Mr Bachchan became UNICEF goodwill ambassador for the polio eradication campaign in India in 2002.
Now, megastar Amitabh Bachchan has thanked Bill gates for acknowledging his polio eradication efforts.

In the reply, Mr Bachchan said that he was just the “face” of the program and all the workers who worked tirelessly on the ground are the one who deserves the limelight.
Thanking Bill gates, Mr Bachchan wrote, “Thank you Mr Gates for this acknowledgement.. the worker is the one who deserves the highest award for the eradication of making India Polio free .. we may have the face and means, but the workers do the “WORK”… I salute them!”

Back in 2014, World Health Organization (WHO) had declared India polio-free.
