Alia Bhatt on casting couch in Bollywood: Everyone has to face their own struggle to get work in this industry

In 2012, Alia Bhatt made her Bollywood debut with Karan Johar’s Student Of The Year. In no time she became overnight and went up giving up flawless performance in Imtiaz Ali’s Highway. She back to back hits and started ruling on box office. Her recently released film- ‘Raazi’ shows a very different side of Alia. With this film Alia proved that she is a versatile actor and she can play any character with ease.

‘Casting Couch’ has been a taboo topic. In recent times many Bollywood actors and actresses talked about this taboo topic. Joining the bandwagon, Alia Bhatt too acknowledged the presence of the ‘C’ word in the business. She also advised all the aspiring artist report such misconduct instead of being victim.

“Everyone has to face their own battle of struggle in order to be able to get work in this industry. And during their struggle some people could use the strugglers for their benefit. And these exist not only in India but all over the world. They should always believe in themselves. However, if at all they are confronted with this bad moment (casting couch) they need to immediately inform their parents. And thereafter go to the police,” says the 25-year-old actress.
