After playing a devotee of Lord Hanuman in his hit cross-border drama Bajrangi Bhaijaan, superstar Salman Khan is lending his voice to an animated feature film Hanuman Da Damdaar. He is ecstatic about the project.
“Aap iss film mein dekhenge ki kaise bana Bhola Bhala Bajrangi – ‘Hanuman da Damdaar’ (In this film, you will see how a cute and innocent Bajrangi became the mighty ‘Hanuman Da Damdaar’),” Salman said in a statement.
Directed by Ruchi Narain, the film is backed by Percept Pictures. The film is slated to release on October 7. Yusuf Shaikh, Head – Feature Films, Percept Pictures, said they consulted children about the casting.
“The kids unanimously echoed Salman Khan as the most suitable and loved voice for Hanuman. Post that, the direction and animation team designed the character and a few patent dialogues of Salman, in sync with the story of Hanuman,” Shaikh said.
“When Salman saw the footage, he could not believe how impactful the synergy was…He gave it his 100 per cent as usual,” he added.
Stars like Javed Akhtar, Raveena Tandon, and Kunal Kemmu have also come on board for the film.
A few of the famous and funny scenes of Salman Khan from the movie Bajrangi Bhaijaan happens to be the times when he interacts with monkeys. He is seen folding his palms and bowing down in front of monkeys even during his on-screen visit to Pakistan in the film.
Salman Khans’s character in Bajrangi Bhaijaan is often seen swearing his life on “Hanumanji” before taking a drastic decision in his life.
