Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu’s on-screen pairing has worked yet again. Their recent film Badla is benefitting from strong word-of-mouth promotions, which is attracting footfall at theaters.
Talking about the success of Badla, Trade Analyst Amod Mehra said, â€œIt has done very well. The movie was released on limited screens because it is a niche genre and it has been successful in pulling in audience. While the first day was average, Saturday and Sunday saw a huge jump. What also helped was the positive word of mouth which benefited the film immensely.â€
It was a good weekend for Hindi box-office as Badla starring Amitabh Bachchan and Tapsee Pannu impressed audience to churn out a good figure in its opening weekend.
The movie, which released last Friday, opened to a decent Rs 5.04 cr and saw a substantial growth on Saturday and Sunday collecting Rs 8.55 cr and Rs 9.61 cr respectively taking its total to Rs 23.20 cr.
After a successful 2018, the year 2019 has started well for Bollywood as several films have proved to be profitable for the makers. Badla is expected to go the same way.
