Zeeshan Siddique, son of the late politician Baba Siddique, recently revealed the profound support Salman Khan has offered him and his family since his father’s tragic murder earlier this month. After Baba Siddique’s tragic passing, Salman was one of the first to visit the hospital and later attended the funeral, standing by Zeeshan and his family throughout. “Salman bhai was deeply shaken after dad’s death,” Zeeshan shared with BBC Hindi. “My father and Salman bhai shared a bond like real brothers. Since then, bhai has always been there for us, checking in every night, talking to me about sleeplessness, and providing constant support.”

In addition to Salman, several other Bollywood celebrities, including Shilpa Shetty and Sanjay Dutt, visited the Siddique family to pay their respects. Zeeshan explained that for him, these stars are more like family than public figures due to their close friendship with his father. On October 12, 2024, Baba Siddique was fatally shot by three attackers while leaving Zeeshan’s office in Bandra East, Mumbai. Although he was rushed to the hospital, he succumbed to his injuries shortly afterward. Following his death, a social media post surfaced claiming responsibility for the attack and was reportedly linked to gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. This same post included a threatening message directed at Salman Khan, prompting heightened security measures for the actor.

In light of this recent threat, Salim Khan defended his son in a statement to ABP, emphasizing that Salman has always been innocent and respectful toward animals. The long-standing controversy surrounding the 1998 Rajasthan poaching incident remains a sensitive issue, especially with some in the Bishnoi community still seeking an apology.
