Ayushmann’s Wife Tahira Shares Topless Pic To Embrace Her Scars On World Cancer Day

Today (Feb 4) is World Cancer Day and this day is observed to provide strength to all those who are fighting the dreadful disease of cancer due to which each year many people lose their lives.

Ayushmann Khurrana who is currently busy promoting his upcoming films ‘Badhaai Ho’ and ‘Andhadhun’ recently opened up about his wife Tahira Kashyap’s breast cancer. Actor Ayushmann Khurrana’s wife Tahira Kashyap Khurrana is also suffering from breast cancer for few months but she has been giving a brave fight to the disease and facing it with a smile on her face. Tahira who is a filmmaker has been posting updates about her disease on social media from the very beginning when she was diagnosed with stage 0 cancer.

She has remained strong throughout the tough times and Ayushmann has been a pillar of strength for her. Tahira can easily be regarded as an inspiration for all those who are suffering from cancer.

On the occasion of World Cancer Day, she posted a topless photo on her Instagram account in which she wrote a courageous message and also said that we should celebrate the spirit of fighting the disease and embrace our scars.

Here’s her Instagram post:

“Today is my day! Wish you all a happy #worldcancerday and hope each one of us celebrates this day in an embracing way. That we remove any stigma or taboo associated with it. That we spread awareness about it and that we have self love no matter what. I truly embrace all my scars as they are my badges of honour. There is nothing known as perfect. Happiness lies in truly accepting yourself. This was a tough one for me. But this picture was my decision as I want to celebrate not the disease but the spirit with which I endured. To quote my mentor, Diasaku Ikeda, “Leading an undefeated life is eternal victory. Not being defeated, never giving up, is actually a greater victory than winning, not being defeated means having the courage to rise to the challenge. However many times we’re knocked down, the important thing is we keep getting up and taking one step-even a half step- forward”
