Varun Dhawan is the youngest Bollywood star immortalised at the Madame Tussauds

Actor Varun Dhawan known for his antics and versatility has a reason to rejoice. The actor recently flew to Hong Kong with his parents David Dhawan and Karuna Dhawan to unveil his first ever wax figure at Madame Tussauds Hong Kong. The statue has Varun showing off his chiseled body in the signature step of the song ‘Saturday Saturday’ from the film ‘Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania’ which he danced to in the film. The ‘Judwaa 2’ star is the youngest Bollywood actor to have a wax statue at the Madame Tussauds museum.

Varun was seen standing beside his wax statue at the Madame Tussauds clicking photographs and interacting with his fans in Hong Kong. The actor, on insistence of his fans, even went ahead and unbuttoned his shirt to flaunt his abs in real, drawing similarities with his wax statue. Looking at the pictures that have gone viral on social media of the actor’s wax statue, one can easily say that Varun has a huge fan following in India as well as across the world.

Actor Varun Dhawan joins the bandwagon of other Bollywood actors including Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Salman Khan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Katrina Kaif and Madhuri Dixit Nene who have their life-sized wax statues at the famous Madame Tussauds museum in different parts of the world.

Varun who was seen giving his measurements and also his hand impression in the images shared by him earlier took to Twitter to thank the Madame Tussauds officials in a tweet that read, “Huge honour can’t wait to come there and stare down my wax figure. Thank you”. He followed it with another tweet saying, “#madametussauds coming soon”.

While unveiling his statue, Varun stated saying, “This is a dream come true. The first time I visited Madame Tussauds in England with my parents and brother, I posed with the statue of Mahatma Gandhi. Today I am very emotional as I see my own statue here.”

The actor is currently busy shooting for Yash Raj Film’s ‘Sui Dhaaga’ alongside Anushka Sharma and recently wrapped up Shoojit Sircar’s ‘October’ which is slated to release on 13th April, 2018.
