Happy Ending Review: Hilarious and Witty; A Must Watch!

Synopsis

As the name goes Happy Ending is surely a movie that makes you happy till the end. The film, unlike the dozens of romantic comedies that release each year is devoid of a thousand cliches and a hackneyed plot. The director duo of Krishna and DK impressed me once again with their novelty and out of the box thinking.

Plot

Happy Ending has Saif, who is the go to guy for romantic comedies in Bollywood as a once famous writer who does not quite have the grip over his career at the moment. The twist of fate happens when Govinda(who is back with a bang) approaches him to make write a script for a bollywood film so that he can take over the multiplex audience as well as the single screen audience.

Music

The music of the film was already popular before its release wit Sachin-Jigar giving us awesome tracks like Paaji Tussi Such a Pussy Cat, G Phaad Ke, Haseena Tu Kameena Main and others. The music is one of the best we have had this year and surely one of the main reasons why the film is enjoyable.

Script and Direction

The script like most romantic comedies does have a playboy meets girl who changes his outlook situation that we have seen numerous times but the fact that it has been shown with such class is what takes the film to a whole new level. I was already impressed by the direction of Krishna and DK in Go Goa Gone and they take their level up a notch with Happy Ending.

Performances

Saif Ali Khan is great in both the roles he is playing in the film and fits in perfectly. Ileana D’Cruz gives the best performance of her career and carries off the role with such ease that she is a delight to watch. Kalki Kochlein too is perfect in the short role she has in the film.

But the show stealer is definitely Govinda who makes you enjoy the film so much more. When he is on screen you cannot do anything but laugh. His performance is Kickass!

Verdict

Happy Ending is surely one film you should not miss as this year has not been as good for Bollywood. So, book your tickets now and watch the film ASAP!
