Late actress Sridevi’s daughter Janhvi Kapoor is making her grand Bollywood debut in Badrinath Ki Dulhania director Shashank Khaitan’s Dhadak produced by Karan Johar. The movie is an official remake of blockbuster Marathi film Sairat and also features Shahid Kapoor’s brother Ishaan Khatter in the lead role. The movie is slated to release on July 20.
A special screening of Dhadak was held for the family and friends in Mumbai yesterday night. Many B-Town stars graced the screenings to support newbie Janhvi and Ishaan. However, one notable absentee from the screening was none other than Janhvi’s caring and loving brother Arjun Kapoor.
Now, the reason behind Arjun Kapoor’s absence has been explained by Janhvi Kapoor. She has already told that Arjun can’t attend the special screening of Dhadak due to his busy schedule. Talking about the same, Janhvi told DNA,
“Arjun bhaiyya and Anshula didi are not in town right now. She is coming back earlier, on July 14 because I told her she has to be there for the first cast and crew screening.”
She further revealed,
“Arjun bhaiyya has some work, so he will be missing it. He’s coming back on July 18, so he will watch the movie after he returns to the city.”
Janhvi Kapoor is all excited to show her debut film Dhadak to her family members. Speaking of the same, she added,
“I’m so happy that the entire clan came for the trailer launch. I’m blessed to have a family like this who’s always been supportive.”
We’ll have to wait a little longer to know Arjun Kapoor’s reaction about Dhadak. Keep visiting this space for further details.
