Anushka Sharma completes 10 years in the Industry, receives Smita Patil Award!

Anushka Sharma, who made her debut in Bollywood with the movie Rabb Ne Bana Di Jodi, opposite Shah Rukh Khan, in the year 2008 completes 10 yrs in the Bollywood Industry this year! She truly is one of the most versatile actress Bollywood has ever had with her wide set of roles in all the amazing movies she has done in these 10 yrs! The actress recently received Smita Patil Sward and it rejoices her more that she received it the year she completes 10 yrs in the Bollywood Industry!

Anushka Sharma was felicitated at the 34th Priyadarshini Academy Global Awards and was given the Smita Patil Award. Anushka Sharma wore an emerald green and gold saree which was made by local artisans. She wore this as a part of promotions of her upcoming film Sui Dhaaga- Made In India. Minimal makeup and accessories made the actress look absolutely elegant!

On receiving the Award, Anushka Sharma said she wasn’t ready with a speech but it was an honour for her. “I really appreciate and admire her and needless to say it’s a great honour to receive the Smita Patil Award by the Priyadarshani Academy”, she said.

“Thank you, everybody, thank you to the academy for considering me for this. I also feel like it’s very special because I complete 10 years in the industry today so receiving an award like this in a huge way validates the choices that I have made. I don’t come from this industry. I don’t have anyone who could have guided me too much. My parents don’t know anything about the work that I do apart from the films that I do. It really is a huge validation for the sometimes different, sometimes mad choices I have made in my career.”, she added.

The lady did not fail to express her gratitude towards the directors and writers!
