Anurag Kashyap’s Raman Raghav 2.0 Premiere Receives Standing Ovation at Cannes

Bollywood upcoming crime thriller ‘Raman Raghav 2.0’ is receiving critical acclaim at the International level. Well, what a proud moment for Indian Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap, who receives a standing occasion for his gritty thriller.

‘Raman Raghav 2.0’ movie is based on a real life story of a psychic killer Raman Raghav. Raman goes on to a killing spree by murdering 23 people in a period of four years in the 1960’s Bombay (Mumbai). He was so psychic that, even asked for the last wish of a murderer and then fulfil his wish before that.

Raman’s fear was so grave in the hearts of Mumbai civilians that they even stopped to coming out of their home after evening. He mostly use to kill normal people who walks on the streets and pavements. The killer was eventually nabbed by Bombay police by the end of 60’s decade.

The scary thing about Raman was, he uses a long iron rod to kill his targets and brutally murdered them. In the film, the role was essayed by versatile genious Nawazuddin Siddiqui, who has already been known for playing realistic characters.

Recently, Raman Raghav’s trailer was revealed and it met with a great response from the cinema audience. The film is going to release in the next month in India but before that the film was already premiered at Cannes Film Festival.

All non-Indian film aficionados has loved the movie, especially Nawazuddin’s performance. He got a hold over a Cannes Film video, where you can clearly see, how fans reacted after ending the movie. They all stand on their knees and praised the star cast of the movie who were present to receive all the accolades from the fans. The film stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Vicky Kaushal, Vipin Sharma, Amruta Subhash, Sobhita Dhulipala and Ashok Lokhande.

The film is all set to hit the theaters on June 14.
