The popular TV show *Anupamaa*, led by Rupali Ganguly, has captivated viewers on StarPlus and Disney+ Hotstar. However, the show hasn’t been without its controversies, especially around the sudden exits of key actors like Paras Kalnawat, Nidhi Shah, and more recently, Sudhanshu Pandey, which left fans curious. Rumors of a strained relationship between Paras Kalnawat and Rupali Ganguly have been circulating for some time. This speculation began when Paras, in a past interview, hinted at tensions, mentioning that the makers seemed to favor a “senior actor.” He also shared that Ganguly hadn’t stayed in touch since his exit, fueling suspicions of a deeper conflict.
Recently, Paras revisited his exit while appearing on *Chuddy Buddy* with Bhaktiyar Irani and Ali Asgar. Speaking on the same podcast, she explained that Sudhanshu endured significant stress while working on *Anupamaa*, which impacted his health. “We often cried during scenes,” she said, adding that Pandey was under so much strain that he sometimes needed 5-6 painkillers daily to manage his demanding 15-page solo scenes. A specific individual reportedly added to the tension, making scenes emotionally exhausting and uncomfortable. “Our interactions became repetitive and exhausting. Eventually, we didn’t even want to be near each other on set,” she added.
Nidhi also clarified rumors about a fallout with Rupali Ganguly, stating that only two or three actors were genuinely challenging to work with out of a much larger cast.
