Another Classic Ruined: Reprised Version of Sushmita Sen’s Dilbar By Nora Fatehi Made Twitter Furious
Bollywood has a habit of remaking things whether it is films or songs. Several iconic songs are getting recreated in several films. This new trend has been going on for a very long time. We have seen many iconic songs getting revamped in many films. Earlier, Tiger Shroff’s Baaghi 2 had recreated version of Madhuri Dixit’s iconic song Ek Do Teen. Jacqueline received lots of criticism for the song. However, Bollywood has not learned any lesson. This time, Sushmita Sen’s iconic number Dilbar has been remixed for Johan Abraham’s Satyameva Jayate.
Nora Fatehi featured in the recreated version of Dilbar, where she can be seen showing her belly dance skills to the fullest. The video of the song has gone viral as soon as it was released. By the time of writing, Dilbar has garnered more than 39 million views in just 3 days. The new version of the iconic song is composed by Tanishk Bagchi and sung by Neha Kakkar, Ikka and Dhvani Bhanushali.
The theme of the recreated version of Dilbar is Arabic, which has also kept the original tune. When asked about recreating an iconic song, Nora said in an interview, “Doing a remake of an iconic song is always nerve racking because you never know if you can actually do justice to it. Sushmita Sen was iconic in the song and I hope I match up to her.”
The song is trending all over the place, but this doesn’t stop people from slamming it. Netizens are furious over the new version of Dilbar and they are showing their anger on social media. Check out some of the reactions down below.
